Why Choose Concrete for Your Driveway
The Smart Choice for Florida Properties
Concrete driveways offer distinct advantages that make them the preferred choice for discerning property owners.
Durable & Long-Lasting: Due to their high density, they last many times longer than an asphalt driveway. They are resistant to heavy vehicle usage and the extreme weather found throughout Florida.
Heat Resistant: Asphalt driveways will soften during Florida’s extreme summer months and become soft, gooey surfaces. This is due to the extreme temperatures. However, a concrete driveway will remain solid under these extreme temperatures and will never develop a rut as a result of a vehicle being left on the driveway.
Low Maintenance: Once the driveway has been installed, there is very little to be done. An occasional cleaning of the driveway and application of a sealer (every few years) will keep the driveway looking new for years to come. There is no need to continually resurface or repair a driveway made of concrete, such as you would find with other types of driveway material.
A Concrete Driveway Will Increase Your Home’s Curb Appeal: A driveway that is made of concrete and has been professionally installed will greatly increase the overall curb appeal of your home. It will also increase the value of your home, since potential buyers will see the long-term benefits and low maintenance requirements associated with a concrete driveway.
Our Concrete Driveway Services
Comprehensive Solutions for Every Need
Starting From Scratch? We do everything related to installing a driveway from start to finish, including excavation through finish (grading, base compaction, reinforcement, concrete, etc.), and provide a finished product at the end of our job.
Replacing An Old Driveway? We will remove your old driveway surface, identify and correct any issues underneath it, and then install a new driveway made of concrete that has been engineered to avoid the problems you had with your previous driveway.

All of our commercial driveway installations meet or exceed local codes and performance standards.

Our Driveway Installation Process
From Start to Finish – Excellence in Every Step
On-Site Initial Consultation and Property Assessment: We come to your property to evaluate site-specific conditions (slope, drainage), discuss your needs and preferences, measure your area, and identify required drainage features to develop a solution that fits your property and budget.
Create Customized Plan and Bid: Based upon what was assessed at your property, we will develop a customized bid for your driveway, which includes but is not limited to dimensions, thickness of slabs, reinforcement details, and finishes you can choose from. Your bid will be an itemized breakdown of costs, and there will be no hidden charges.
Prepare Site: The preparation of the site is important to the longevity of your driveway. We dig down to the correct depth, remove any poor soil, grade properly to provide good drainage away from your home/buildings, and compact the sub-grade to avoid settlement.
Install Base Material: We place and compact a strong base material, such as crushed stone/gravel, to the designated depth. This base provides for drainage, prevents frost heave, and gives a solid foundation to your concrete.
Place Forms and Reinforce: To produce a straight edge and a consistent thickness, we place precision forms. We also lay out steel reinforcement (wire mesh or rebar) to control cracking and add structural strength to the slab.
Pour Concrete: We use high-quality concrete that is designed specifically for driveways. Our experienced crew then pours, spreads, and levels the concrete to provide a uniform thickness, free of air pockets.
Finish Crew: Our experienced finishers will give your driveway the desired surface texture you want, whether it is a smooth trowel finish, a textured finish for traction, or decorative finishes. We place control joints throughout the driveway at regular intervals so that when cracking occurs, it will occur in a controlled location.
Cure: Proper curing is essential to achieve the highest possible strength and durability of your driveway. We will protect your new driveway from the elements and keep it at the correct moisture level during the curing process.
Quality Control and Clean-Up: After completing the construction of your driveway, we do a final walk-through to ensure that everything is done to our standards, and we completely clean up your property before leaving.

Driveway Design Options
Customize Your Driveway’s Appearance
Standard Finishes
Broom Finish: The most common finish, broom finishes create very fine lines and help to improve traction on wet surfaces while keeping your driveway looking clean and like new.
Smooth Trowel Finish: If you want a modern look for your home, a smooth trowel finish will give your driveway an updated look and is best used for garage entrance ways or for driveways that are covered by a carport.
Exposed Aggregate Finish: An exposed aggregate finish showcases the natural beauty of stone inside your concrete mixture and provides a textured surface that has both traction and visual interest.
Additional Driveway Finishing Options
Stamped Concrete Driveway Designs: Create a beautiful feature with a driveway design made from stamped concrete designs that resemble many different high-end products, such as brick, cobblestone, slate, and others, but at a much lower price.
Colored Concrete: Use integral colors throughout your concrete or use topical stain to add character and earthy tones, grays, terracottas, or custom colors to match your home’s exterior color scheme.
Driveway Specifications
Built to Last Generations
Specifications by Type of Driveway Thickness Requirements:
- Residential driveways: The minimum thickness of residential driveways is 4 inches, sufficient for normal-weight vehicles. For heavier vehicles (RVs) or boats, it is recommended to increase the thickness of the driveway to 5 or 6 inches.
- Commercial driveways: The Thickness of commercial driveways will vary based on the number of cars using the driveway and the weight of each vehicle. A typical range would be 6 to 8 inches.
Reinforcing Steel: All driveways are reinforced with steel to assist in controlling cracking and to provide structural support to the driveway. Reinforcing steel can take many forms, including welded wire mesh, rebar grids, etc., properly positioned to control cracking and maintain structural integrity.
Specifications for Concrete: We utilize a minimum of 3000 psi to 4000 psi concrete, which is suitable for flat work applications that are exposed to the elements. This type of concrete contains an acceptable amount of air entrainment and has been mixed with an acceptable ratio of water to cement to maximize durability.
Design of Drainage: Grade every driveway at least 2% grade away from the structure(s) to allow adequate drainage of rainwater and to prevent pooling of rainwater, which may cause damage to the concrete or surrounding materials.
Location of Control Joints: Strategically located control joints allow the natural contraction of the concrete to occur and direct any cracks to locations that do not detract from the appearance or function of the driveway.
Dimensions Width of Driveways: The Typical width for a one-car driveway is 10 to 12 feet. A two-car driveway typically ranges from 20 to 24 feet in width. We will accommodate any size requirements you need to suit your driveway design and parking needs.
